So who is this “Bear” guy?2018-08-08T22:50:01-07:00

Well, good question. I’m a guy from Southern California who’s been on a spiritual path for almost 30 years now. I love kids, animals, walking in the moonlight and in the rain. I’m also deadly with just about any weapon from the birth of the club to the advent of guns on the battlefield. Oh, and I paint my toenails and cry every time Moana’s Grandmother dies and returns to the Ocean.

But, if you want to read more about me, you can check out this link: Bear’s Bio

What are the Guardians of Sacred Balance?2018-08-08T20:14:54-07:00

Well, as this site is titled, The Guardians of Sacred Balance is a brotherhood of those who seek out and will defend the divine balance of the Universe.  Essentially, the Guardians of Sacred Balance is a Brotherhood of those who would seek out and uphold the universal balance between the Divine Masculine and the Divine Feminine, also known as Sacred Balance. We are forever striving to evolve as balanced partners, with the full intentions of love, strength, and consciousness of spirit. So what the heck does that mean? Well, it’s evolving. I want to create and hold some sacred space for those enlightened gentlemen out there. I see this growing exponentially, because I know we’re out there, and most of us don’t even think this kind of Brotherhood is even possible.

What is Sacred Balance?2018-08-08T20:14:33-07:00

We make a habit of assigning traditional gender roles to certain emotions, for instance you’re being “girly” if you cry at a wedding, the birth of your child, or a Sarah McLachlan commercial. But, the truth is, that we all have male and female energies. The light and the dark, the Yin and the Yang. As above, so below. And very rarely is it ever in balance. Look at nature, at our own planet, there’s only two days in the whole year that day and night are equal. For us, it’s even less simple. Some guys have more female energy, and vice versa. Now this might be a little “woo-woo” for you, but I believe that this is caused by us having lived multiple lives and that we all have been both male and female in those lives. The Universe naturally balances us like that, and we make choices to unbalance ourselves in our lives.

What’s this about being a Guardian?2018-08-08T20:15:10-07:00

When I started this project I was very focused on the “Warrior” aspect of life. GRUNT! MANLY! YES!  No. Frankly, I’ve been the warrior for a long time now, and I’m kinda sick of fighting. Now, I have no problem holding sacred space, standing guard, watching, protecting, but so help me, if you come against my tribe, I will end that fight quickly, and you will lose. Warriors generally are too focused, and often they lose sight of the bigger picture. Guardians see more, and they act only when necessary, otherwise they are just there to ensure that life happens they way it is supposed to.

I firmly believe that Guardians are those Warrior spirits who have achieved a sort of enlightenment, through age, deed, and education. However, Warriors are usually too focused on the immediate action of the battle to be able to step back and see the big picture. Guardians are often watching from afar, but always ready to act when necessary to defend what is true, loving, and good. Sometimes we are the last or only line of defense in dark situations, and it is our sacred responsibility to hold the line against those who would use fear, chaos, and imbalance against the natural order of the universe.

When brothers agree,
no fortress is so strong as their common life.
